Hello, it's me...Tawny.
Yeah, I know it's been a hell of a long time since my last post. I'm sorry for that. It's been flippin' nuts around here for several months. Hubby and I relocated to Washington and it took a lot out of us to get here. I'm finally sitting at my temporary desk and working on my blogs and writing the final scenes for Bigfoot's Revenge. I've even plotted out the rest of Silk Seductions. It feels great to be back to working with my characters again, especially the Big Guy...
I told you the Forest People were real. You didn't think The Bigfoot Chronicles trilogy and the sister series The Forest People was fiction did you? It's all true, or at least based on the stories passed down throw the generations of the tribes in the Pacific Northwest and other areas of the world.
I've lived in this area of the United States for fourteen years now and have heard many a tale. I've had a few "run ins" myself. The eerie screams and growls are something I'll never, ever forget.
For those of you who have read my books so far, you know they're about an ancient species of humanoids...very close ancestors to humans. They have their own language, tribal and clan culture and value family above all. They worship the same gods as we do and respect Mother Earth for everything it gives them to survive. Unfortunately, humans haven't quiet mastered those concepts yet, some have, but a hell of a lot of them will never come around to respecting this planet.
Now, I'm not what some call a "tree hugger." I like the modern conveniences just as much as anyone, but I do wish to do what I can in order to keep our planet around for future generations. Just the simple act of recycling helps as well as carpooling and taking mass transit instead of driving our vehicles every single day.
It's the little things that can add up!
Just like with my writing. I may have only been able to knock out a paragraph or two over the previous couple months, but at least I kept going. I'm not giving up and I hope you haven't given up on me or Bigfoot. He'll have his revenge...but is the cost too great for those he loves? Stay tuned. We're shooting for this story to be out before Thanksgiving.
See you around!
Tawny
